It has not been a good week for Dundee fans.
After being knocked out of the Betfred Cup in the group stages the Dees lost Kane Hemmings, their top goalscorer from last season, to Oxford United before Greg Stewart completed his prolonged move to Birmingham City this afternoon.
And now rumours have appeared online that the Dark Blues could be heading for administration.
Dundee have been no strangers to the dark days of administration as they faced financial turmoil in 2010 and also seven years earlier.
Although there has been no official confirmation of the administration rumours, the last thing Scottish football wants is to see this historic club plunge into financial troubles once again.
There were reports circulating this morning that an unnamed SPFL Premiership club were on the edge of financial turmoil, and it is perhaps no surprise that Dundee are one of the first clubs to be mentioned in regards to the reports.
After losing their two star names Stewart and Hemmings – as well as one-time fans favourite Gary Harkins – Dundee fans will be praying that their week does not get any worse.
